Liam and Noel Gallagher to be psychoanalysed on stage by Lena Dunham

Liam and Noel Gallagher's sibling feud is to be psychologically explored by Lena Dunham at an event in Los Angeles.

The Girls creator, 32, will be joined on stage by Australian musician and actor Ben Lee at the Largo at the Coronet venue in Los Angeles on 18 November (18) for Champagne Superanalysis, an evening of songs and readings aiming to psychologically explore the former Oasis rockers' minds and complicated relationship.

Ben wrote in a tweet promoting the event: "What happens with @lenadunham and I join forces for a psychological exploration of the Gallagher brothers relationship? Let's find out!"

Selling the night of Oasis-based psychology to her own followers, Lena added: "This is really happening and yes you should come."

Noel, 51, and Liam, 45, rose to fame as the leaders of Britain's biggest rock group of the 1990s, but called time on the band in 2009 after a backstage fight at a gig in Paris. They have since spent years exchanging barbs in the press and on social media, with the younger Gallagher claiming his brother's wife Sara MacDonald has blocked an Oasis reunion, as well as regularly hurling insults at him on Twitter. For his part, Noel famously described his sibling as "the angriest man you'll ever meet" and being like "a man with a fork in a world of soup".

Lena is a massive fan of the warring duo, and first had the idea of examining their relationship after watching Supersonic, a documentary about Oasis' rise, earlier this year.

"I watched the Oasis documentary and I have a LOT of big opinions about the Gallagher brothers' relationship! I'm a Noel (fan) btw (by the way)!!!" she tweeted.

Ben responded by saying he loved listening to their interviews, and Lena suggested a live reading - an idea that has apparently morphed into the idea for the Champagne Superanalysis night, which will also feature special, yet to be announced, guests.
